Study structure
The Bachelor's degree in Real Estate Management prepares you optimally for the diverse areas of the property industry. By working closely with companies, you can apply your knowledge directly in practice.
You will learn the economic, technical and legal fundamentals of the real estate industry and can specialise individually from the 4th semester onwards.

From the 4th semester onwards, you have the choice: Which area of the property industry are you particularly interested in? Which direction should your career take? The choice of specialisation allows you to take modules according to your personal interests and at the same time sharpen your professional profile.

- Activities at banks, asset management companies, investors and fund providers, valuation of existing properties for financing/loans
- Activities for companies with large property portfolios of their own (i.e. also production and administrative properties, large-scale industry)
- Activities at housing companies, administration and management of residential property portfolios
- Valuation of special asset classes (shopping centres, bridges or retirement homes, etc.) for purchase or borrowing
- Urban planning and development
- Communal urban development
- Urbanisation and sustainable neighbourhood development
Professionally, this means:
- Activities at local authorities and other regional authorities (e.g. cities, municipalities, state and federal authorities, Deutsche Bahn, Federal Waterways Administration, airport operators, energy suppliers)
- Building authorities at municipal or state level
- Traffic route planning (rail, water, rail) and supply planning (power and data lines), supply and disposal infrastructure
- Property management
- Damage to buildings
- Sustainable building refurbishment
Professionally this means:
- Administration, management and operation of property portfolios including renovation planning, increasing the value of properties through improvements (cable connection, lifts, sustainable building refurbishment (both ecological and economic),
- Contract optimisation through timely contract adjustments
- Evaluation of damage to existing buildings, initiation and implementation of appropriate refurbishment with the aim of optimising contracts and earnings
Semester abroad
There are various ways to spend a semester abroad. On the one hand, you can complete the internship in the 5th semester at a company abroad, but you can also spend a semester studying at a partner university of your choice. The 4th or 6th semester is ideal for this, as the modules from both semesters are also taught abroad.

Internship
The practical semester takes place in the 5th semester for a period of 20 weeks in a company of your choice in Germany or abroad. Popular companies include companies from the following sectors

Part-time study
The part-time study programme is an alternative for all those who would like to study alongside their job or caring responsibilities, such as looking after children or caring for family members. The degree programme is divided into 13 regular semesters, with around 15 ECTS credits to be earned in each semester and an average of three modules to be completed. This form of study enables students to complete their degree within the standard period of study if they are unable to complete a full-time degree programme.
