Incoming Students
The Incoming Students section provides helpful information for applicants and students from abroad.
Study applicants with foreign certificates can see which documents should be submitted for an application and which language requirements must be met for most degree programmes.
At the same time, future exchange, ERASMUS+ or regular students from abroad can find tips and information on study funding and accommodation in and around Heide.
Exchange students can also take a look at our course programme for exchange students.
In general, we recommend that all new students coming to us from abroad take a look at our guide for students from abroad. It contains valuable tips and organisational information. You can find the guide, our Exchange Guide and our fact sheet in our download area. If you have any questions, please contact the International Office team. Here you will find our contact details.

Financing
Before starting your studies in Germany, it is important to think carefully about how you will finance your entire course of study and to thoroughly research the various options available! Scholarships often do not cover the full cost of living for an entire course of study and are limited in availability. The social benefit ‘BAföG’ is also only available to a very limited extent to foreign nationals with long-term prospects of remaining in Germany. It is important that you consider the financing options for your studies in Germany early on and realistically.
