Successful marketing and sales depend to a large extent on how well you know your markets and target groups. Psychological knowledge about customers and consumers, their attitudes, wishes and behaviours is therefore the central focus of this field of study. Practical recommendations for action are derived from scientific explanations of purchasing and consumer behaviour, which can be used profitably in later professional life.
