You can expect a great sense of community among the student life.
Who better to take care of student life than our students themselves? We are therefore delighted to have many students from all areas and degree programs at the university in our AStA, the General Student Committee, who are responsible for fostering a sense of community.
Want some examples? Our sports department organizes climbing, handball, swimming, tennis, kite surfing, and even sports like cheerleading and golf. Our events department puts on things like dinner hopping, Halloween parties, winter balls, and student parties. One particularly legendary event is “Profs@turntables,” where our teachers DJ for students at a club in Heide. And our sustainability department develops and organizes events that make our university even more sustainable: a bicycle repair station, clothing swaps, book flea markets, and much more.
